This is why Thousand Currents is committed to providing core, long-term, flexible funding to our partners around the world. Their impact is non-linear and far reaching.
With your help we have connected more than 200 million people. We have supported over 1,000 grassroots-led community initiatives in more than 140 countries worldwide. Learn more about our partners’ historical impact here.
Thousand Currents has invested more than $31 million dollars to grassroots and movement formations, working to address the areas of food, economic justice and climate justice. We fund across Africa, Asia and the Pacific and Latin America and the Caribbean. In the past year alone (FY22) we awarded $5.4 million in grants to nearly 100 partners.
We strive to build relationships out of trust and accountability with our partners and our donors and funders, and have received a close to perfect financial and accountability rating from Charity Navigator and have a gold seal from Guidestar.

Thousand Currents is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our fiscal year runs July through June and we post our audited financials and annual report by spring each year.
