Shilpa Alimchandani is the Founder and Principal of Mookti Consulting. She has more than 20 years of experience in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), leadership development, and intercultural learning.

Sihle Dinani

Board Member
Sihle is the Chief Financial Officer at Tides Advocacy. With over 20 years of finance and operations experience, Sihle is passionate about supporting highly functioning nonprofit infrastructure.

Flavia Jimenez

Board Member
Flavia Jimenez became Managing Director of Organizational Development & Leadership in 2016. In this newly created role, she is responsible for leading organizational change initiatives and opportunities for professional growth to staff through coordinated training and leadership efforts.

Masego Madzwamuse

Board Member
Masego has an established track record as a grant maker and a policy analyst, specializing in climate justice, natural resources management, and social development. With over 20 years of experience, Masego has worked on the rights of communities in conservation, and supported social movements and civil society organizations advocating for social and economic justice.

Herschelle Milford

Board Member
Herschelle Milford has 30 years of professional career and personal experience in an ethnically diverse society in South Africa, leading organizations and managing projects.

Cindy Clark

Vice President, Operations
Cindy Clark is a US-based feminist whose passions include leveraging more resources for self-led feminist organizing and exploring how to build more transformational, resilient organizations.

Michelle Reddy

Board Member
Michelle Reddy is a Fijian feminist activist, and is one of two co-leads of the newly established Pacific Feminist Fund (PFF). Her role is focused on harnessing strategic partnerships and resource mobilization.

Jinky Demarest de Rivera

Vice President, Finance
Jinky brings over 20 years of finance and accounting experience to Thousand Currents. Their history leading nonprofit financial operations spans human rights and social justice organizations in the Bay Area and New York City.

Asad Rehman

Board Member
Asad Rehman is the Executive Director of War on Want where he works with frontline communities & social movements to end poverty, inequality & injustice.

Ruth Sawyer

Board Member
Ruth Sawyer dreams of building healthy, resilient, and community-centered economies that work for everyone. Over the course of a varied career across several disciplines and sectors, they have consistently worked on issues at the intersection of equity, environment, and community and economic development.

Mandy van Deven

Board Member
Mandy has directed global and regional portfolios for private and family foundations that redistributed $14.5 million in grants and capacity building support to groups in 10 countries that advance gender, racial, economic, and climate justice and build the infrastructure for narrative power.

Rajiv Khanna

Vice President, Center for Transforming Philanthropy
A native of Bombay, Rajiv is excited to lead a new initiative at Thousand Currents called the Center for Transforming Philanthropy, which will undertake research, knowledge production, and donor education and advocacy to shift the philanthropic sector towards solidarity and social justice practices.

Zanele Sibanda

Vice President, Global Programs
Zanele has spent her career working for social and gender justice. In the early part of her career, she worked on theoretical frameworks of community-driven development and put them into practice at a racial justice organization in Chicago, and a women’s rights organization serving rural women in her home country of Zimbabwe.

Zahra Vieneuve

Vice President, Philanthropic Partnerships and Influence
Zahra Vieneuve is the Vice President of Philanthropic Partnerships and Influence at Thousand Currents, where she leads resource mobilization and communication strategies that are aligned with the vision and power of grassroots communities.
