Board Member

Asad Rehman is the Executive Director of War on Want where he works with frontline communities & social movements to end poverty, inequality & injustice. Prior to that he was head of international climate at Friends of the Earth. Asad has over 4 decades of work with social movements in the UK and globally - from the anti-racist movement, alter-globalisation, the anti-war movement and the climate justice movement where he has been central to connecting climate to issues of racialised capitalism, colonialism & inequality. Asad has served on the boards of Amnesty International, Friends of the Earth International, Rainforest Action amongst others. He currently co-chairs the Edge Funders Climate Justice Working Group and works across philanthropy on issues of justice & transition.
