Alexandra Escorcia
Program Manager, Latin America and the Caribbean
Born and raised in Colombia, Alexandra Escorcia is a passionate feminist and is deeply committed to fostering positive change in issues related to social justice. She holds a Master’s degree in Conflict, Security, and Development, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. With over eight years of professional experience in psychological care, human rights protection, and grantmaking, Alexandra has been actively involved in supporting grassroots movements, accompanying and learning from the impactful efforts of conflict survivors, civil society organizations, and human rights defenders in Colombia and the Americas.
Before joining Thousand Currents, Alexandra contributed her expertise to organizations such as the Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, Front Line Defenders , and Justice and Peace Netherlands . In her free time, Alexandra is dedicated to supporting animal welfare and enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and traveling.
